What is My Mom in Organic Chemistry? A Moms Perspective
What is My Mom in Organic Chemistry? A Mom's PerspectiveWhat is my Mom in Organic Chemistry? This is the first question my teenage son asked me when he finished reading his Organic Chemistry book. It was clear from the outset that this was not going to be a boring book for him to read. His parents and I agreed that the book could be a bit of a challenge to understand but that it was still a fun read, and so I started him on Organic Chemistry, hoping that he would enjoy it. As the first chapter came to an end, we both said that we had some questions about what I thought were the basic concepts of Organic Chemistry, so here are those questions:'What is my Mom in Organic Chemistry?' The first of these is what does Organic Chemistry mean?'What is my Mom in Organic Chemistry?' Then, we tried to think of other definitions of Organic Chemistry that might explain the concept better.'What is my Mom in Organic Chemistry?' That also appeared to be a difficult question. So then, we read another c hapter of Organic Chemistry, wondering if perhaps she would have some insight into this topic.'What is my Mom in Organic Chemistry?' The chapter we read in Organic Chemistry seemed to explain the concept quite well, but was short and did not give her much time to think about it. So we tried to read it again, and she seemed to like it.'What is my Mom in Organic Chemistry?' Another chapter in Organic Chemistry seemed to help our child to understand the idea of an electron and its role in Chemical Bonding, but it also led him to wonder what would happen if the electron didn't have a definite state. We read the chapter again, and it seemed to answer our question. My next question is, 'What is my Mom in Organic Chemistry?' In a nutshell, Organic Chemistry is what happens when molecules of different sizes get together and bond in a way that we can all recognize as being a part of life on earth.
